Signs You Need to Call a Plumber

It is not always easy to tell the difference between a plumbing issue you can handle on your own and a serious one that requires professional attention. If you are having trouble deciding whether to call a plumber, keep reading to learn a few of the signs that your issue is severe enough to warrant it.

  • Low Water Pressure – One sign you should call a plumber is a decrease in your water pressure, as this usually means water is leaking out before it can reach your tap or showerhead. We encourage you to contact an experienced plumber right away to have them inspect your pipes to find the source of the leak.
  • Visible Leaks – Similarly, you should also call a plumber whenever you have a visible leak. Not only can leaks be surprisingly tricky to fix, but there may also be other leaks you haven’t noticed yet. An experienced plumber will address the immediate leak and check the rest of your plumbing for more, just in case.
  • Sewage Odors – If you start to smell sewage in your home or business, you need to call a plumber right away. This usually indicates a problem with your septic system or sewer line, both of which can cause serious trouble for the rest of your property. Your plumber will check these systems, determine what is wrong, and provide the effective solutions you need. By the time your plumber is finished, you will not have to worry about the smell—or its cause–anymore.
